Strawberry dipped chocolate anyone?

So I decided to make this for my boyfriend.
It's actually easier than i thought it would be.
To make strawberry dipped chocolate you would need:

1. Strawberries of course... pick out the best ones that doesn't have bruices(I usually use ten strawberries but it's up to you to make more than that)
2. Chocolate bars.. i choose Hershey :] you can use milk chocolate, dark chocolate... so on

3. Here come my favorite part and also my boyfriend's ... It's the Snickers cums for the outer coat.  I chose Snickers because its my boyfriend's favorite candy.  But i think you can be creative and put other type of candies bars as the outer coat also.
Now, how to make it:
1. First you would want to wash the strawberries and leave it in the water for the sand and dust to brush off the strawberries, repeat the process several times to make sure it's clean.  Remember to leave the green part on, it'll be where you would hold on to when you dip the strawberries into the chocolate.
2. Second you will have to chop off the Hershey chocolate bar and put it in to a non metal bowl.  I use a clear bowl like this one.
3. Now you would want to boil some water in a pot.  When the water started to boil you would want to turn off the heat.  Then put the bowl with the chopped chocolate in to the pot.  Make sure the water level in the pot doesn't come in to the bowl.
4. While waiting for the chocolate to melt.  You can prepare the outer coat of these whole thing.  Now, I've tried many ways to make Snickers bars in to crumbs but it didn't work out well.  So, my last resort was to leave the bar in the fridge till it harden a bit, then put it in to a blender and hope for the best.  Surprisingly it work out, although a bit messy but I've got the crumbs.  (no guarantee that your blender will be save so do this with caution).  When you finished making the crumbs, you can put it on to a flat dish.
5. Now, that the chocolate in the bowl had fully melted, you can dry the strawberries.  The hardest part is the dipping part because it can become really  messy.  You can hold on to the green part of the strawberry and quickly dip it in to the chocolate, then roll it over on the dish full of Snicker crumbs.  That will give it a nice outer coat.
Remember to work quickly because the chocolate will quickly harden.  It might take sometimes but you will get the hang of it.
6.  When you are done with all these step.  Put the strawberries in the fridge and wait for the chocolate to harden.  Then it's good to eat.

Enjoy :]

BOBA crave

So there is a Vietnamese restaurant called Cali near La Quinta high school.  They sell Great Vietnamese cuisines.  However, the greatest part of this restaurant for me when i was still in high school was that their boba is only a dollar and twenty five cents.  This is cheep compared to other boba places.  However, what you pay for is what you get.  To my friends, the milk tea boba is quite sweet... but to me (I love sweet stuff) so tasted fine to me.  :] over all it's a great place for cheep boba.  Might not be as good as other stores, but either way here's a picture.  Enjoy :]

More CREPE

So there is this place called Crepe corner.  They have buy one get one free of from Tuesday Through Thursday every week, I believe.  All you have to do is log on to Facebook and check in to their store and you will get the promotion buy one get one free.

Their crepe is tasted good and why wouldn't it taste good when you get the other one free right? This is a great place to save money and get good crepe.  The store use to only sell crepe only now combined with the restaurant next door.  It's a weird combination; however, the place still have the same promotion, good tasting crepe and good customer service. So why not?

It's cute how they let you have a piece of paper filled with different types of fruits, syrups, crepes and ice creams for you to check in the boxes with their number two pencil.  This just reminded me of high school times all over again.

I always order crispy crepe with vanilla ice cream, nutella/condense milk, strawberries/Litchy.

Genki

This is another one of my favorite  place to stop by and eat.  This place have free Wifi :]
They also have great foods such as calamari, brick toast, crepe, and much more.
I suggest getting the customized crepe.  I love having condensed milk in my crepe plus strawberries, and vanilla ice cream.
WP_000796.jpg
The brick toast in this case is great with the ice cream on top.
WP_000241.jpg
Don't forget there are also calamari!!
WP_000239.jpg
For drinks there are different types of boba drinks.  My favorite is the milk tea float.  It's a milk tea with a floating Vanilla ice cream.  It tasted delicious ! however, the ice cream is the hardest thing to get up and through the straw.
The customer services are great, and the place is clean.  I think it's a great place to hang out with friends.

Confetti Italian Ice & Custard

Ready for the summer? :]

Here's an Italian ice place.  It's called Confetti.  Quite a cute name isn't it.
They have crazy flavors that tasted unbelievably Delicious.  Especially the caramel apple.  The sourness of the apple along with the sweetness of the Caramel blended together.  There's also an ice cream topping on top of every cup.

This place have crazy yet fun names for their mixed flavors.  Such as: "bomb pop, and the chunky monkey." These names are fun to say and tasted delicious too.

Summer is coming, so try out different types of ice creams places.  Confetti is a great place to start.

Gen Korean BBQ

This place is usually pack with people.  Their line started even before they open the door around 3 P.M. all the way till 12 A.M.
I would suggest you guys go early or the wait could be quite long.  It took me almost two hours worth of waiting.  "But hey, anything for good foods".
They have a wide range selection of foods, their employees are nice and the services were fast.  The place is casual and could get very loud sometime.  But over all the environment and the people there are friendly.

The only thing that i didn't like about the place is that they give you only two hours to eat for all you can eat.  If you weren't able to finish all the food you called out you'll have to pay extra.  I guess it fair since it's a strategy for them to limit the amount of foods they serve and also help reduce the wasted unfinished meat.

Here's another link to the Gen Korean BBQ House's website if you decided to try it out. :]

Disney downtown: Earl of Sandwich

I've recently tried out this new place at Disney downtown.  Earl of Sandwich.
They sell sandwiches that taste amazing.  I have to say it was the best sandwich I've ever tried so far.
Though they usually have long waiting line but i promise it will be worth the wait.  It took about half an hour and the place was quite small but everything was nice there.
As for the food, those who love meet should try The Earl's Club.  It pack with turkey and bacon.  Along with some swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato.  Their sandwich sauce made everything tasted better.
There is also the  Hawaiian BBQ, it taste amazing.  It have grilled chicken, ham, swiss cheese, pineapple, and my favorite part, the Hawaiian BBQ sauces.  Each sandwich average around $6.99.  This is not a bad price for such good foods.
This is a must-go-to place.  There foods is a  must-try.
Here's a website link for those who wanted to look at more foods.

spaghetti

This is actually the first dish that I'd successfully made by myself.
I'm a spaghetti lover! :] so that's explained why i learned how to make it.

It's actually quite easy to make,
so first all you need to do is to hit the market and get some ingredients (this is for a big party meal):
- 1 pound of grounded beef
- 2 bottle of spaghetti sauce (I usually use Prego - fresh mushroom)

- 1 small package of Lawry's Spaghetti sauce spice and seasoning

- 2 sausage (of any sort and depend on how much you wanted) ps. i usually get 2 package of sausage
- 2 package of Mushroom (again it also depend on how much you wanted to put in)

- 2 bell pepper (i usually get a green one and a red one just to add a little color to my dish)
- half of an onion
- a bit of garlic
- Don't for get to buy the spaghetti noodle! :]

Now come the fun:
First of all, you'll need to clean the mushroom and bell pepper then cut them up.

- for the bell pepper take out the middle and the seeds.  Then cut them into small bite side cubes
- chop the onion up to half
- as for the mushroom, cut them along the side create the mushroom shape (you know what i mean.. i think haha)
- Star cutting the sausage and mint the garlic

Then prepare a large pot, and start putting in a bit of minted garlic.

After the garlic started to change color, you'll add your grounded beef.

Stir this back and forth until about 5 minute.

Then you'll add the sausages, and wait for them to cook for about another 5 minute.

Then add your onion, bell pepper and mushroom.  Stir for another 5 minute.

Add the Prego sauces and wait for it to boil up (while stirring)

Finally!!! you can add the seasoning :] and give me about a minute or two to boil up

As for the noodle, all you have to do is boil the water and put the noodle in.  Leave it boiling for a while then you'll have your spaghetti noodle.

P.S. i don't usually have meat ball in my dish so i replaced it with the grounded beef.
the pictures i got above are not mine - I just wanted to show you guys what some of the items look like.  I find it frustrated not knowing what to look for in the store.  All the ingredients should be available in Stater brother.  :] that's where i got them from.  Anyways, Enjoy! :]

Guess where this is?!

Guppy house!! :] one of my favorite places.

It's pretty isn't it? though, it's kinda small :[ but the food is great :]
I'll start with the main dish, where you could get Hawaiian fried rice, tasted delicious and served inside a pine apple.  Also there were shredded meat on top, along with corn and other type of peppers.  The portion is kind of big so it's good to share :]  Sharing is caring haha
(p.s. i apologize for talking a lot about popcorn chicken :] it's my favorite)

They have drinks and pop corn chickens :] and other type of deserts.
What me and my friend usually get for deserts is either the shave ice.  Where you can add all type of fruits and syrup you wanted on top of it.  I recommended getting a small for this.  Mainly because the bow it self is big and when it's served,  the shaved ice stacked up like a mountain topped on that.  I'm usually the one that eat most of it haha :]  Strawberry shaved ice and condense milk is a good combination.

Per half, shaved ice is not your thing, so... no fear there is still other options for deserts, especially the brick toast.  Try the melted hot chocolate on top of a baked crispy bread.  The sweetness of the chocolate and the crunchiness of the bread... yumm... irresistible

There are also other places around there full of food places, and photo sticker taking place.  There is also 85 degree bakery.  It filled with cheep yet yummy type of pastry.  However, it's located in Irvine quite far away about a little bit less than an hour from where i live.  Still i would drive all the way there just to have these type of yummy food :]  as long as the food is yummy for my tummy then i'm good :]

Stone Fire Grill

Just had a feast at Stone Fire Grill, for my friend's birthday.  This is our first time there, so we didn't really know what to order.  Everything was pretty much self service here.  We ordered the food at the cashier then they serve it to our table.  After a long while of looking through the menu we finally decided to get the "crow pleaser."  because we have about 8 people there.  It turn out perfect with a little extra for to-go.

The environment was very comfortable and casual,  the waiters were especially nice.  They always serve and talk to everyone with a smile.

The food was great, I especially love the ribs.  It was much easier than i thought to separate the ribs and the meat and it wasn't messy at all.  The bread however is not my favorite, maybe it's cause i'm a meat person not so much of a bread person.   The meat were tender and moist and tasted delicious.  There are different type of meat, my favorite are the sliced ones.  It would be much nicer if they have a bigger portion of it.  There are also chickens and salad which i didn't much of because i don't like chicken and salad that much.

But over all the experience here is great i would go again sometime in the future soon.  :] U guys should also.

Seaside Donuts shop

Have you guys ever been to New Port beach and tried the food in the Seaside Donuts shop?
If you haven't, you'll have to try it out!!
The first time I went here with my boyfriend, and as we all know the beach is cold.  If you could get one of their Ham and Turkey sandwich and asked them to heat it up... Yum mm it'll taste like heaven.  Eating the warm Ham and Turkey sandwich, while drinking the sweet Thai tea that they have,  it'll be the best experience for a cold and romantic place like the beach.
Every time i go there, there is always a guitar player that played his heart out in front of the Donuts shop.  There are also other stores along the beach but so far this is the one and only stop that I've made every time i go to New Port.  Now that i'm writing about it, I might just drive there later and get some more.  yum...
(Ps. although it called a donuts shop, I've only tried their Ham and Turkey sandwich.  I'll try out something new next time)

Fried corn

Photo

Yummmm....
So this dish is very popular in the Vietnamese culture.  I grew up in Vietnam so it'd always been one of my favorite foods.
I made it for my boyfriend recently.
It's quite easy to make all you need is
- small shrimp (those tinny little white precook one you see at some Asian markets)
- corn (of course i use fresh corn but you can buy those cans one)
- a bit of green onion
- butter
- salt & sugar ( just a tinny bit for flavoring at the end)

Now, let's get cooking :]

1. first you want to wash the corn if it's those cans one because it could get quite sweet
and if it's those fresh corn then you must separate the corn (of course)
2. mint the green onion (doesn't have to be so small just depend on how you preferred them)
3. put butter into a pan wait for it to melt
4. put in the shrimp and wait for it to turn yellow (this wont take long because the shrimp is already cooked)
5. add the corn after the shrimp started to turn color
6. then add the green onion
7. you want to put in more butter now to make it the corn smell better :] yummy..err
8. finally flavor your dish up with a bit of salt and sugar
9. and let it sink in for a few minute untill the corn is fully cook
10. Voila there you go, your very own dish of fried corn (i'm not sure if that's what they call it but oh wells :] )
